HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04092013 - C.03RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Traffic Resolution No. 2013/4380 to prohibit any person stopping or parking a vehicle in the space designated for disabled persons (blue curb) on the southwest side of Highland Boulevard (Road No. 1655BE) near Cowper Avenue (1655BC), except for those vehicles displaying a special identification license plate or distinguishing placard issued to individuals with disabilities, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Kensington area. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. BACKGROUND: A disabled resident is unable to access the living quarters located on the second story of their residence from the driveway level below. The blue curb will provide a needed parking space for disabled persons. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Unable to use local authorities’ power to enforce the California Vehicle Code. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
