HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03192013 - C.53RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #25-012-27 with The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba HomeBase), a non-profit corporation, effective January 1, 2013, to amend Contract #25-012-26, to increase the payment limit by $112,800, from $189,050 to a new payment limit of $301,850, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 33% by Federal Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (MAA) and 67% by budgeted County General funds. (Rate increase) BACKGROUND: On January 22, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25-012-26 with The Center for Common Concerns, Inc. (dba HomeBase) for the period from October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013, for the provision of consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to the Homeless Continuum of Care planning and resource development, including grant-writing services. (dba HomeBase) BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Amendment Agreement #25-012-27 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through September 30, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County will not receive this Contractors expertise with the federal guidelines to secure maximum McKinney-Vento funding required to implement the 10-year plan to eliminate homelessness in Contra Costa County.
