APPROVE Appropriations Adjustment No.5063 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $93,115
from the Office of the Sheriffs Emergency Services (0362) to Sheriff's Office-Patrol (0255) to reclassify salary and
benefit appropriations related to the SWAT team.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in Patrol (2505) and decreases appropriations in OES SWAT (3625) by 93,115.
No change in net county cost.
BACKGROUND:
Appropriations for the OES SWAT unit personnel had been budgeted for the full fiscal year 12/13. However,
anticipated transfers of personnel from Patrol to the SWAT team did not occur until October 2012. Four months of
payroll costs from 07/12 until 10/12 had to be transferred back to Patrol to cover the expenditures.
