HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03192013 - SD.8RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Assignment of Easements on behalf of Contra Costa County (County) to the City of Antioch (City) over portions of Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 074-122-037, 041, and 023 in connection with State Route 4 (E) Widening – Somersville Road to Route 160 Project (Segment 1) (SR4), and FIND that the easements are not required for County use, pursuant to Government Code Section 25365. Project No. 4660-6X4168. AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute said Assignment of Easements on behalf of the County. DIRECT the Real Estate Division of the Public Works Department to deliver a certified copy of this Board Order with each Assignment of Easement to the City for acceptance and recording in the office of the County Recorder. FISCAL IMPACT: The activity is funded by Contra Costa Transportation Authority. SCH No. 2004092135. (Seg. 1), Antioch area. BACKGROUND: The County acquired various property rights in connection to the highway widening project. The City’s existing sewer lines had to be relocated over portions of Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 074-122-037, 041, and 023 along SR4. In order for the City to maintain and repair its sewer lines, it is necessary for the County to assign the easement rights. The Notice of Intent to assign the easement to the City was published in the Contra Costa Times at least one week prior to this Board meeting, as required by Government Code Sections 6061 and 25365. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The City would not have the necessary land rights for its sewer lines. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable. CLERK'S ADDENDUM CONTINUED to April 9, 2013.
