HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03122013 - C.71RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #27-743-3 with Jose Enz, M.D. (dba Herculean Babies Pediatrics), a sole proprietor, in an amount not to exceed $400,000, to provide professional pediatric primary care services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from March 1, 2013 through February 28, 2015. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) member premiums. Costs depend upon utilization. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. Approval of Contract #27-743-3 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide pediatric primary care services through February 28, 2015. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County will not be provided.
