HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03122013 - C.52RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Amendment Agreement #28-700-17 (State #EPO 12-08) with the California Department of Public Health, effective July 1, 2012, to amend Agreement #28-700-16, to increase payment to County by $60,000 from $1,530,861 to a new total Payment Limit of $1,590,861, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Amendment Agreement will result in an increase of $60,000 to a new total of $1,590,861 of funding from the California Department of Public Health Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness, and Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) & Comprehensive Program through June 30, 2013. No County funds are required. Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) will utilize these funds to respond to any disease outbreaks in Contra Costa County. Approval of this Amendment Agreement #28-700-17 will allow County additional funds to continue developing and testing hazards health emergency preparedness activities and hospital preparedness through June 30, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, County will not be able to continue to develop and test all hazards health emergency preparedness activities and hospital preparedness in response to any disease outbreaks in Contra Costa County. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable.
