HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03122013 - C.37RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21244 to reclassify one (1) Public Health Program Specialist-II (VBND) (represented) and its incumbent position #9090 at salary plan and grade ZA5 1711 ($5,654 - $6,873) to Communicable Disease Program Chief (V7DA) (represented) at salary plan and grade ZA5 1903 ($6,838-$8,312) in the Health Services Department FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $25,114.00, including pension costs of approximately $7,846.58. 100% State BACKGROUND: Due to the retirement of the former incumbent of the Communicable Disease Program Chief classification, the Public Health Division has gone through a reorganization and as a result, duties that were assigned to that classification have been dispersed throughout the Division. Currently, the Communicable Disease Program Chief classification is overseeing the following areas: Communicable Disease Program; Tuberculosis Program; Health Emergency Response; Public Health Laboratory; and the Limited English Access/Health Care Interpreter Network. I have reviewed Ms. Jenssen’s application, and have confirmed that she meets the minimum qualifications to be reclassified to the Communicable Disease Program Chief. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action is not approved, the incumbent will not be classified and compensated appropriately. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: No impact. ATTACHMENTS P-300 #21244
