Guichard Walnut Creek, CA 94597 DECLARE a vacancy on the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District's Fire Advisory Commissioners and direct the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy for filling the vacancy. FISCAL IMPACT: NONE. ATTESTED: March 12, 2013 David Twa, County Administrator and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By: June McHuen, Deputy cc: District 2 Supervisor, Maddy Book, Commission, Appointee C.33 To:Board of Supervisors From:Candace Andersen, Board of Supervisors District II Date:March 12, 2013 Contra Costa County Subject:RESIGNATION FROM THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT'S FIRE ADVISORY COMMISSIONERS BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) and capital budgets; to review district expenditures; to review and advise on long-range capital improvement plans; pursuant to district ordinance to serve as the Appeals Board on weed abatement matters; to advise the Fire Chief on district service matters; to meet jointly with the Board of Supervisors and provide advice to the board as needed; to communicate with the other fire district advisory commissions on services and functional integration; to assist in the Fire Chief's selection process as required; to serve as liaison between the Board of Supervisors and the community served by each district; to perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned and as directed by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission consists of 7 members and 5 alternates. Terms for all Commission seats are four years. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: No recruitment for a new member will occur. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: NONE.
