AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to advertise for an On-Call Trucking Services Contract for
Aggregate Stockpiling, Contract No. 0672-6U2183, for stockpiling chip seal aggregate that will be used for the
Public Works Department’s 2013 chip seal program, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The On-Call Trucking Services Contract for Aggregate Stockpiling is to be funded by 100% Local Road Funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department will use the On-Call Trucking Services Contract for Aggregate Stockpiling to provide
trucking services for the hauling of chip seal aggregate from the quarry to various stockpile locations throughout
Contra Costa County. The aggregate will be used by Public Works Maintenance crews for routine pavement surface
treatment activities on various roads within Contra Costa County.
The Public Works Department intends to award one $200,000 contract with a term of one year, and will be used as
needed with no minimum amount that has to be spent.
