APPROVE the conveyance of an Offer of Dedication – Easement for Road Purposes to the City of Martinez, a
Municipal Corporation, pursuant to Government Code Section 7050.
DETERMINE that the conveyance of said Offer of Dedication – Easement for Road Purposes is in the public interest
and will not substantially conflict or interfere with the County’s use of the property.
AUTHORIZE the Chair, Board of Supervisors, to execute the Offer of Dedication – Easement for Road Purposes on
behalf of the County.
DIRECT the Real Estate Division of the Public Works Department to cause said Offer of Dedication – Easement for
Road Purposes to be delivered to the City of Martinez for acceptance.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.

Subject:APPROVE the Conveyance of an Offer of Dedication – Easement for Road Purposes to the City of Martinez, a
Municipal Corporation, Martinez area.
BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County (County) owns the real property located at 900 and 939 Ward St. in Martinez described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto. The City of Martinez has requested an Offer of Dedication – Easement for Roadway
Purposes over portions of said property, described in Exhibit “A” attached hereto, for street, landscaping and other
public purposes, including maintenance thereof. A Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared and posted on
May 3, 2006 indicating that preparation of an Environmental Impact Report was not required.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County will be responsible for the maintenance of these portions of property which are located within the city
limits of Martinez.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
