SUBJECT: Lease for Sheriff Communications Administration
Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification
I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to
EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, a Lease commencing September 1, 1986, with Muir
Parkway Properties for the premises at 1340 Arnold Drive, Suite 129, Martinez,
for temporary occupancy by the Sheriff Communications Administration, under the
terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease.
DETERMINE that the above project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption under the
California Environmental Quality Act.
DIRECT the Director of General Services to FILE a Notice of Exemption with
the County Clerk.
II. Financial Impact: Payments required are to come from the Sheriff's Patrol and
Investigation Building Project Cost where this function will be housed upon
completion of the project.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: Provide temporary office space as
requested by the Sheriff Communications Administration during construction of
their new facility at 50 Glacier Drive, Martinez.
