HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02262013 - C.37RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Standard Agreement Amendment #29 441-37 (State #12-78006-000, A1) with the Department of State Hospitals, effective July 1, 2012, to amend Contract #29-441-36 (State #12-78006-001), to decrease the payment limit by $175,813, from $1,397,741 to a new payment limit of $1,221,928, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this amendment agreement will result in a decrease of $175,813 by the State Department of Hospitals for the Conditional Release Program (CONREP). (No County match) BACKGROUND: On October 16, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement #29 441-36 with the Department of State Hospitals for the period from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, for the CONREP program. Approval of Standard Agreement Amendment #29 441-37 will amend the Agreement to make a technical adjustment to the budget allowing the County to continue to receive funds to support CONREP services through June 30, 2013. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will not receive funds to support treatment offered by the CONREP program and may be unable to subcontract with community based organizations, including a number of board and care homes, to judicially committed patients.
