HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02122013 - C.36RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-847-19 with Michael S. Baker, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $175,000, to provide general surgery services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On February 14, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-847-18 with Michael Baker, M.D., for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 30, 2012, for the provision of general surgery services for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. Approval of Contract #26-847-19 will allow Contractor to continue providing general surgery services, including acting as the medical director of General Surgery at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, through December 31, 2013.
