JORNLIN, DIRECTOR � '� V�yVl ll+t ra Social Service Department C DATE: August 21, 1986cam SUBJECT: APPROVE BOARD ORDER AMENDMENT SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION Amend Board of Supervisors Board Order dated June 24, 1986 authorizing Social Service Department Director or his designee to conduct contract negotiations for FY 86-87 Office on Aging contracts to extend the term of Contract #20-450 with Diablo Valley Foundation for the Aging to provide Case Management Services for one month, from 7/1/86 - 9/30/86 to 7/1/86 - 10/31/86, and increase the Contract payment limit from $7,235 to $9,639. In addition, authorize Social Service Department Director, upon approval by Contracts and Grants Administrator or County Counsel , sign the four month contract. FINANCIAL IMPACT There isn't any financial impact. Case Management is budgeted in the four year Area Plan (1985-89) which the Board of Supervisors passed on April 30, 1985. BACKGROUND On June 24, 1986 the Board of Supervisors authorized the Social Service Department Director or his designee to conduct contract negotiations for several continuing FY 86-87 Office on Aging contracts and sign completed contracts upon approval by Contracts and Grants Administrator or County Counsel , One of the contracts listed on the Board Order is Diablo Valley Foundation for the Aging #20-450 to provide Case Management Services from July 1, 1986 to September 30, 1986 in the amount of $7,235. The Office on Aging has since gone to Request for Proposal (RFP) and needs the month of October to complete the RFP process.
