FISCAL IMPACT:
None to the General Fund. The contract is paid for by funds from the Water Agency.

Subject:Amendment to Contract with Richard Denton for professional services
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
among other items. These publications, particularly the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, will require the review of
extensive and highly technical documents. As of this writing there is approximately $30,000 left in his contract.
The 2013 workload will necessitate more work by Dr. Denton than this will cover. The Director of Conservation
and Development recommends increasing the payment limit of the contract by $30,000 to a new payment limit of
$180,000.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The County will not be able to respond adequately to critical Delta-related plans that could significantly impact
our water supply and the water quality along our shoreline.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
None.
