APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with
STAND! For Families Free of Violence, in an amount not to exceed $233,000 to provide services for the Encourage
Arrest Policies and Enforcement of Protection Orders Project for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31,
2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$233,000: 100% Federal Department of Justice grant (CFDA 16.590), no County costs.
BACKGROUND:
The Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative (ZTDVI) received funds from the Department of Justice, Office
on Violence against Women, Community-Defined Solutions to Violence Against Women Project. The ZTDVI is
engaging the Contractor to assist in carrying out activities consistent with the funding application.

Women Project is to develop and strengthen effective responses to violence against women.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Valuable services to assist in the prevention of violence against women will not be offered to citizens of Contra Costa
County.
