CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The current recruitment and hiring processes do not allow the Office of the County Counsel to target and recruit
attorneys with specialized training and/or experience in those areas of civil law that are practiced in the Office of
the County Counsel when those specialized attorney skills are needed. If this action is not taken, the County
Counsel will be unable to recruit the appropriate attorneys it needs when it needs them, to the detriment of County
clients.
