SUBJECT: In the Matter of a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement with the City of
Orinda to provide for the reconstruction of Austin Court, Orinda area .
Project No. 0671-6R6731-83.
The Public Works Director has advised that a joint exercise of powers agreement
is necessary in order to provide for the reconstruction of Austin Court, which
is City owned and maintained.
The Austin Court reconstruction project is to be administered by Contra Costa
County at an estimated cost of $38,000. The project is partially funded by the
Federal government and partially funded by local share. The City of Orinda shall
pay the total local share which is estimated at $11,600.
The Public Works Director recommends that the agreement be approved and that the
Board AUTHORIZE the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to execute a joint
exercise of powers agreement between the City of Orinda and Contra Costa County.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the recommendation of the Public Works Director
is APPROVED and that the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors is AUTHORIZED TO
EXECUTE the joint exercise of powers agreement.
