OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION NO. 90/5 .
Recognizing the De La Salle
High School Varsity Cross Country
Team on an outstanding season, and
to Jeremy Seven on an outstanding
show at the State Meet
WHEREAS,the De La Salle High School Boys Varsity Cross Country Team won the
Monte Vista Invitational,the Sias Invitational and the San Ramon Invitational Cross Country
Meets;
WHEREAS,this outstanding team took second place at the Stanford Invitational
and the Mount San Antonio Invitational;
WHEREAS,the Boys Varsity completed the league cross country season undefeated
and won the Bay Valley Athletic League Championship;
this powerful'team then proceeded to win the North Coast Division 3
Championships;
W]HEREAS,the De La Salle High School Boys Varsity Cross Country Team placed
second at the CIF Division I State Meet;
WHEREAS,Jeremy Seven contributed to this outstanding record by winning the
individual championship in the 3-mile race at North Coast Section 3A in a new record time and
placing an incredible third in the 5000 meters race at the CIF Division I State Meet;
the dedication and hard work that went into these accomplishments
are exemplary;
W]H EREAS,the athletes,on this team serve as important role models for the youth
of our community;
WHEREAS,the De La Salle Cross Country Team composed of Jeremy Seven,Todd
Coulston, Mike Kuhl,Tyler Robbins,James Zachery,Brian Huajard-0 and Guillermo Salla has su-
perbly represented their school and Contra Costa County;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Board of
Supervisors does hereby recognize and commend the De La Salle High School Boys Varsity Cross
Country Team and their dedicated coach Joe Stocking for an outstanding 1989 season;
PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board Members present on this 9th Day of
January, 1990.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered into
on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors of the date aforesaid.
