HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01152013 - C.64RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Change Order to Purchase Order #F37440 with Philips Medical Systems, Inc, to add $35,000 for a new total of $130,000, for repair parts, accessories, and service for Philips patient monitoring systems at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from May 1, 2011 through April 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers utilize Philips patient monitoring equipment to monitor patients’ health. This is crucial to patient safety and necessary to prevent harm to patients. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Purchase Order is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers will be unable to purchase monitoring equipment and patient safety will be adversely affected.
