HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01152013 - C.63RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-391-21 with Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc., a corporation, effective November 1, 2012, to amend Contract #26-391-16 (as amended by #26-391-17 through #26-391-20), to increase the payment limit by $960,000, from $905,000 to a new payment limit of $1,865,000 with no change in the original term of September 1, 2011 through March 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No rate increase. BACKGROUND: On September 13, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-391-16 with Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. (as amended by amendments #26-391-17 through #26-391-20), for the period from September 1, 2011 through March 31, 2013, for the provision of temporary medical services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would not be able to abstract the desired metadata from medical records for the implementation of the Electronic Health Records EPIC Project.
