FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval of this action, there is an annual cost savings of approximately $1,520.00. BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting to add one permanent part-time (30/40) Community Health Worker Specialist (VKTA) position at salary level QT5 1103 ($3,097 - $3,764) in the Women, Infant and Children's (WIC) Services Unit within the Public Health Division in order to provide health information to clients such as lactating counseling, infant care and clothing, dental health and nutrition.
