BACKGROUND: The Alamo MAC may advise the Board of Supervisors on services that are or may be provided to the Alamo community by Contra Costa County or other local government agencies. Such services include, but are not limited to, parks and recreation, lighting and landscaping, public health, safety, welfare, public works, code enforcement, land use and planning, transportation and other infrastructure. The Council may also provide input and reports to the District Supervisor, Board of Supervisors, County staff or any County hearing body on issues of concern to the community. The Council may represent the Alamo community before the Board of Supervisors, County Planning Commission and the Zoning Administrator. The Council may also represent the Alamo community before the Local Agency Formation Commission on proposed boundary changes effecting the community. The Council may advocate on parks and recreation issues to the Town of Danville and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Supervisor Andersen recruited through public announcements for interested parties to apply to the Alamo MAC. Supervisor Andersen interviewed all the applicants, including the current members. She is very pleased to recommend the current Alamo MAC members to continue their fine work for another four years. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: None. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: None.
