HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01082013 - C.157RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Resolution No. 2013/10 accepting as complete the contract work performed by Vila Construction Company ("Vila") for the G Ward Seismic Upgrades project at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, 2500 Alhambra Avenue, Martinez, for the Health Services Department, as recommended by the Public Works Director. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to file with the County Recorder a certified copy of Resolution No. 2013/10 no later than ten (10) days after adoption. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact resulting from the adoption of the Resolution of Acceptance and Notice of Completion, but the adoption and recording will limit the period for filing stop payment notices and bond claims on the project. BACKGROUND: On July 10, 2012, the County entered into a construction contract with Vila for the G Ward Seismic Upgrades project at the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. The construction contract has been completed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications. It is recommended that the contract work be accepted by adopting a Resolution of Acceptance and Notice of Completion (Resolution No. 2013/10).
