HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01082013 - C.153RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment, effective December 1, 2012, with the Pittsburg Power Company, for additional case management and job placement services, increasing the contract amount by $150,000 for a total contract amount not to exceed $245,000 and extend the term of the contract from January 31, 2013 to June 30, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: $245,000; 100% Federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Adult Funding BACKGROUND: This Board Order will authorize the Employment and Human Services Department, on behalf of the Workforce Development Board, to increase the contract payment limit to the Pittsburg Power Company by $150,000, from $95,000 to a new contract payment limit of $245,000 and extend the contract term from January 31, 2013, to a new contract term through June 30, 2013. The amendment will allow additional WIA Adult services including case management, employment referrals, and job placement services for adult participants.
