Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#74-085-12 with BAS Resources, Inc. (DBA BAS Healthcare), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $135,000,
to provide recruitment services for psychiatrists for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health
Centers including, but not limited to: recruiting, screening and interviewing qualified pharmacists who the County
may hire for permanent placement for the period from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
In January 2012, the County Administrator approved and Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract
#74-085-10 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #74-085-11) with BAS Resources, Inc. (DBA BAS
Healthcare), for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012 for the provision of recruitment
services for psychiatrists for Contra Costa Regional Medical

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Center and Contra Costa Health Centers including, but not limited to: recruiting, screening and interviewing qualified
pharmacists who the County may hire for permanent placement.
Approval of Contract #74-085-12 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through December 31, 2013,
including changes to County’s Standard General Conditions, paragraph 19 (Insurance) language.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, County will not have access to Contractor’s psychiatrist recruitment services.
