BACKGROUND:
Established on June 23, 2009, the purpose of the Discovery Bay P-6 Citizen Advisory Committee is to make reports
and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on extended police protection services which include, but are not
limited to, enforcement of the State Vehicle Code where authorized by law, crime prevention, and litter control.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The committee is comprised of five members who reside within the P-6 Discovery Bay Zones 500-504, with no more
than two appointees residing within any one Zone. Members serve for two year terms and they not serve any more
than two consecutive full terms.
Mr. Mankin's term expired December 31, 2012. Applications were accepted and the recommendation to reappoint the
above individual was then determined.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat will become vacant.
