BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
school model to better meet families’ needs, which will in turn increase graduation rates.
On July 31, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Grant Agreement #28-831 with the City of Richmond for the
period April 1, 2012, through March 31, 2014. Unfortunately, the terms of the agreement were renegotiated by the
parties to reflect the exact dates.
Approval of Grant Agreement #28-831-1 will reflect the intent of the parties and allow the City of Richmond to pay
the County for supporting the RHEP Project for the period from February 15, 2012 through June 30, 2014. The
County is agreeing to indemnify and hold harmless the Contractor for claims arising out of Contractor’s performance
under this Contract.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Agreement is not approved, the County will not receive funding to support and participate in the RHEP in
Contra Costa County.
