FISCAL IMPACT: This project will be fully funded by allocations from the Federal Government at 66% and State of California at 34%. There is no cost to the County. BACKGROUND: National Cinemedia will be running advertisements for The Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) in local movie theatres informing the public of the services offered and contact information for the office. Advertisements increase the number of cases opened and the number of families assisted in the collection of financial and medical support for children. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this action were not approved, it would lessen the ability for The Department of Child Support to advertise the services they offer.
