APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to execute a contract with
the City of Pinole to provide building inspection services for the period November 1, 2012 through December 31,
2014. (100% Reimbursement from City of Pinole)
FISCAL IMPACT:
No General Fund impact. All costs will be reimbursed by the City of Pinole.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Pinole has requested the County's assistance in providing building inspection services. The Department
of Conservation and Development (DCD) will provide a Building Inspector to the City of Pinole a minimum of 4
hours per business day. The City may also request DCD to provide additional inspection, plan check, code
enforcement and customer support services. These tasks will be performed on an as-needed basis. DCD staffing
costs will be reimbursed by the City of Pinole.
DCD will provide building inspection services to the City of Pinole consistent with the City's procedures and
applicable codes. DCD will work closely with City staff to implement these services.
