HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12042012 - C.49RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21185 to add one Social Service Fraud Prevention Supervisor (XAHA) position (represented) at salary level KKS 1695 ($5565 - $6765) in the Fraud and Appeals Division of the Employment and Human Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an increase annual cost of $138,012 and increase the net county cost of $13,801 or less during the current year. The pension obligation is $49,450. The position is funded 45% Federal, 45% State, 10% County. BACKGROUND: The Department requests to add a Social Service Fraud Prevention Supervisor position to supervise the SS Welfare Fraud Field Investigators. The position will be assigned to the Fraud Prevention Unit. The job duties will include responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of a field fraud investigations unit. Plans, organizes, coordinates and supervies field investigations involving suspected fraudulent receipt of public assistance; trains and evaluates subordinate staff and other related work as required. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Failure to add this position will result in the Department being out of compliance with the State's mandated regulations regarding investigative personnel minimum standards.
