HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12042012 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT the resignation of Ola Paulette Jones from the Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity, DECLARE a vacancy in the Education seat of the Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by Antoine Wilson, Contra Costa County Equal Employment Opportunity Officer. FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND: The role of the Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity is to advise the Board of Supervisors regarding the implementation of the County's Affirmative Action Program and to recommend actions and policies to facilitate attainment of the County's goals for affirmative action. The Advisory Council currently has 11 members. It was established by Board Order on July 9, 1991. The current occupant, Ms. Jones, recently resigned from the "Education" community seat. This Board Order declares a vacancy in the "Education" seat of the Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity, for the unexpired term 3-year term which will next expire on November 30, 2013, and directs the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy.
