Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
#27-820-3 with Chris Cammisa, M.D. (DBA Cammisa Healthcare Consulting), a self-employed individual, in an
amount not to exceed $137,400, to provide healthcare consultation and technical assistance to the Health Plan
Medical Management team for the period from October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan Member Premiums. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On February 14, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-820-2 with Chris Cammisa, M.D. (DBA
Cammisa Healthcare Consulting) to provide consultation and technical assistance to the Health Plan Medical
Management Team, including quality improvement projects and health plan product lines and associated
memberships from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012.
Approval of Contract #27-820-3 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide consultation and technical
assistance to the Health Plan Medical Management team through September 30, 2013.
