HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11132012 - C.48RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a change to Purchase Order P44262 with Nexus IS, Inc, to add $510,000 to a new total amount of $840,000, for Nexus EMC VMAX disk drives, software and licensing, with no change in the term for the period from October 28, 2012 through October 28, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This Purchase order is fully funded by (a) the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and (b) the Delivery System Reform and Incentive Pool (DSRIP) funding. BACKGROUND: Nexus IS, Inc. EMC Storage and Backup System currently holds data for the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center, Disaster Recovery Site in Pittsburg, and Contra Costa Health Centers Epic Electronic Health Records (EHR) System. To successfully continue backing up Epic data, we are required to expand our current storage infrastructure as data load increases.
