HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11132012 - C.22RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21191 to add one (40/40) Occupational Therapist I (V5VG) position and
cancel one (40/40) vacant Physical Therapist I (V5VE) position No. 8553 in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action would result in a total annual cost of $127,394.05 associated with the addition of one
Occupational Therapist I and the cancellation of one vacant Physical Therapist I position. Because these are lateral
positions, this action is cost neutral and will be funded by the Contra Costa County CCS Medical Therapy Program
allocation for 2012-2013, 50/50 State/County.
BACKGROUND:
Hiring one additional Occupational Therapist I will decrease the use of contract Occupational Therapists. Contract
Occupational Therapists will only be used on a temporary basis to serve those children on MTU wait lists and to
cover for permanent staff absences.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the costs for use of contract Occupational Therapists will continue to increase.
