HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11062012 - C.47RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, on behalf of the Public Works Director, to execute a purchase order amendment, with Advanced Traffic Products, to increase the payment limit by $111,000 to a new payment limit of $210,000, for Dialight traffic signal lighting, for the period from September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This cost is to be funded through 12/13 Public Works Traffic Signal Maintenance budgets. (100% General funded). BACKGROUND: Public Works Facilities Maintenance is responsible for traffic signal maintenance. All of the 600 plus intersections we maintain are equipped with Dialight brand LED signal lighting. Dialight is the preferred choice because they are longer lasting than other brands and provide a good warranty program. As bid on Bidsync # 1003-004, Advanced Traffic was awarded as our primary vendor for Dialight products. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this purchase order amendment is not approved, Dialight traffic signal lighting for Traffic Signal Maintenance will not be purchased from Advanced Traffic Products.
