APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute a purchase order amendment with
CompuCom Systems, Inc., on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Department to increase the payment
limit by $45,310.93 to a new payment limit of $601,710.20 for extension of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, and
extend the term from December 31, 2012 to December 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$601,710.20: 3% County Funding; 97% State Funding
BACKGROUND:
The Employment and Human Services Department, Information Technology Unit (IT), purchases the license to use
Microsoft software to operate department computer systems. This amendment is to extend the Microsoft Enterprise
Agreement for an additional year to enable the department to assess alternative approaches to Microsoft software and
go out to bid, if necessary.
