HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11062012 - C.36RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Public Works, or designee to execute an Improvement Agreement with Jupiter Investments, L.L.C., for the completion of tenant improvements in approximately 1,800 square feet of office space located at 2523 El Portal Drive, Suite 101, San Pablo, as requested by the Health Services Department, under the terms and conditions set forth in the Improvement Agreement. AUTHORIZE the Director of Public Works, or designee, to EXECUTE the Improvement Agreement on behalf of the County. FISCAL IMPACT: The Improvement Agreement will obligate the County to pay an amount not to exceed $50,900.80, which is one half of the total cost of the tenant improvements. The cost of the tenant improvements were anticipated and budgeted in the Health Services Department’s approved 2012/2013 budget. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) this office space for occupancy by the Health Services Department since December 2008. The Health Services Department wants to provide more counseling services at this location. The additional counseling services will require the tenant improvements described in the Improvement Agreement. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The Improvement Agreement will not be approved, the tenant improvements will not be built, and the additional counseling services desired by the Health Services Department will not be provided.
