ADOPT Personnel Adjustment Resolution No. 21172 to add one (1) Deputy Sheriff (6XWA) (represented) position
at salary level VHX 1688 ($5,298 - $6,600) in the Office of the Sheriff - Custody Services Bureau – Health Services
Security Unit.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$214,063, 100% Contra Costa County Health Services Department.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff has provided the Contra Costa County Health Services Department with security services at
the Concord Adult Mental Health Clinic using overtime staffing, paid for by the Health Services Department. With
added funding from the Health Services Department, the Office of the Sheriff, Custody Services Bureau will add one
Deputy Sheriff position to the Health Services Security Unit for a full-time Deputy Sheriff to provide security services
for the Concord Adult Mental Health Clinic.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Sheriff's Office will not be able to provide the level of service as requested by the Health Services Department
for security services at the Adult Mental Health Clinic.
