ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21159 to transition two (2) Community Health Worker II - Project
(VKV1) (represented) position numbers 11021 and 13511 at salary level QT5 1043 ($2,918-$3,547), and the
incumbents into the Merit System as permanent full-time Community Health Worker II (VKVB) (represented)
positions in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no additional cost associated with this action.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to transition two Community Health Worker II - Project positions (and
incumbents) into the Merit System. Both incumbents meet the criteria for transfer in the merit system as outlined in
Personnel Management Regulations, Section 1603. The positions are assigned to the Financial Counseling Unit and
provide assistance to patients in filling out applications for health coverage. These positions have been filled for
approximately 5 years and the need for them will continue indefinitely.
