APPROVE Real Property Services Agreement Amendment No. 1 (Agreement) to provide additional right of way
services by Contra Costa County (County) to Solano Transportation Authority (STA) for the I-80/I-680/SR-12
Interchange Project, and to increase the payment limit by $310,105 from $75,000, to a new Payment Limit of
$385,105, effective March 12, 2012 until terminated by either party; and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or
designee, to sign the Agreement on behalf of the County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Solano Transportation Authority will pay 100% of the actual costs for Real Property staff right of way services.
BACKGROUND:
STA requires a variety of right of way services but has no right of way staff and has contracted with the County for
these services. Real Estate Division staff will conduct general management of right of way activities, which includes
developing and monitoring right of way schedule, reviewing title reports, appraisal reports and investigating title
concerns, attending regularly scheduled meetings and attending public meetings, among other duties. Real Estate
Division staff will also assist with acquisition negotiations and eminent domain action.
