HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10232012 - C.58RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute a purchase order amendment, on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, with IBM Corporation, to increase the payment limit by $26,400 to a new payment limit of $191,400 for maintenance on software applications used on the County's mainframe computer system, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012 (100% Department User Fees) FISCAL IMPACT: $191,400 (100% User Fees); the whole cost is charged to the user department through DoIT’s billing process. BACKGROUND: The Department of Information Technology initiates the purchase and renewal of software maintenance and support from IBM Corporation, on behalf of various County Departments. The related departments are charged their share of the maintenance and support fees, as applicable. This increase is necessary to cover the duration of the current term.
