HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10232012 - C.55RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23–478–3 with Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $800,000, to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Department’s Information Systems, for the period from September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On September 25, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23–478-1 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-478-2) with Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., for the period from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012, for the provision of professional consulting, technical support, training, and project management to the Department’s Information Systems unit with regard to County’s computer systems. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) to the General Conditions that are typically not requested. The Department feels these changes are necessary in order to have this contractor under contract in order to provide scarce Epic consultants for the electronic health record implementation and support. Approval of Contract #23–478–3 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through August 31, 2013, including modifications to County’s standard General Conditions. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will not obtain Contractor’s specialized expertise in dealing with Information Systems at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers.
