HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10232012 - C.44RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Interim Director, or designee, to execute a
contract amendment, effective November 1, 2012, with Intelegy Corporation, to provide strategic planning, onsite
and offsite consultation, project management, and Intake Office of the Future training, by increasing the contract
amount by $223,285 for a total contract amount not to exceed $595,015 and extending the term of the contract from
December 31, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$595,015 10% County, 45% State, 45% Federal
BACKGROUND:
The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) is enhancing its services delivery model in order to better
serve the County's growing population of Medi-Cal, Cal Fresh, and CalWORKs clients. A variety of projects are
underway to develop new technology solutions and re-engineer business processes, but the efforts require
coordination as an overall business strategy. Integration of the planning efforts is critical to ensure a seamless
transition and ability to leverage complementary solutions. Key issues have been identified which require a new
model for conducting business. The contract extension will allow completion of integrated projects. All designs and
implementations require additional system upgrades and staff training.
