HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10232012 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to accept on behalf of the County, Grant Award #28-838 (#20629283) from Kaiser Permanente, in the amount of $45,000, for the Health Access For Kids Project, for the period from November 1, 2012 through November 1, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: Acceptance of this Grant Award will result in an amount of $45,000 from Kaiser Permanente for the Health Access For Kids Project. No County match required. BACKGROUND: The Kaiser Foundation Hospitals (“KFH”), Northern California Community Benefit Programs Division, has granted Contra Costa County funds to support the Health Access For Kids Project, being implemented by the Health Services Department (HSD) Family, Maternal & Child Health Programs, as part of Kaiser’s 2013 Health Insurance Screening and Enrollment Program for Children. The goal of the project is to increase the number of children and their families who enroll in a health coverage program through November 1, 2013.
