HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10162012 - C.93RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the Sheriff-Coroner, a purchase order with Clean Source in an amount not to exceed $450,000 for the period October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2015 for miscellaneous janitorial supplies and services as needed within the three County's detention facilities. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% General Fund; Budgeted BACKGROUND: Clean Source provides custodial products, items and supplies as needed for the County detention facilities. They also repair and service janitorial equipment that is proprietary to the detention facilities. The detention facilities purchase janitorial supplies for over 2000 inmates. Items include over 100 cases a week of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap & other cleaning chemicals and supplies. This is a GSD-select vendor per SIPC (Schools of Illinois Public Cooperative) Master Agreement. A 3-year contract ensures uninterrupted service to support the custodial needs of the detention facilities.
