Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #23-489-3 with Tango2, Inc, a corporation, effective September 1, 2012, to amend Contract
#23-489 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-489-1 and #23-489-2), to increase the payment limit by
$1,000,000, from $2,640,000 to a new payment limit of $3,640,000, with no change in the original term of June 1,
2011 through May 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Amendment is funded 100% by Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program of
the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). (No Rate Increase)
BACKGROUND:
On June 28, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-489 (as amended by Amendment Agreements
#23-489-1 and #23-489-2) with Tango2, Inc. for the period from June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2013, for the
provision of professional consultation and technical assistance to the Department’s Information Systems Unit with
regard to healthcare information technology

Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-489-3 will allow Contractor to provide additional services, with
no change in the original term through May 31, 2013.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this amendment is not approved, funding will not be available for Contractor to complete the additional services
required for Epic deployment.
