HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10162012 - C.49RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21176 to add one (40/40) Administrative Services Assistant II (APVA) position (represented) and cancel one vacant (40/40) Health Education Specialist (VMWD) position (#11990) represented in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action would result in a total annual cost of $110,133.24 associated with adding one position of Administrative Services Assistant II and will be offset by the cancellation of one position of Health Education Specialist at a cost of $86,742.78 resulting in a annual net increase of $23,390.46, to be absorbed by the Public Health Division 2012/13 fiscal year budget. BACKGROUND: The Administrative Services Assistant II (APVA) classification will provide the necessary support to both the Communicable Disease and Health Emergency Units that the Health Education Specialist (VMWD) position cannot due to the classification's knowledge, skills and abilities.
