APPROVE Appropriations No. 5013 authorizing the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $415,409 from the
Office of the Sheriffs Emergency Services (0362) and General Lab (0255) units to the Investigation Unit (0255).
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in Investigations (2535) and decreases appropriations in OES (3620) and General
Lab (2515) by $415,409. No change in net county cost.
BACKGROUND:
Due to operational needs, staff has been transferred from OES and the Crime Lab to Investigations. The positions that
have been transferred include one Crime Scene Investigator, one Fingerprint Technician and two Sheriff's Crime
Analysts. Associated costs that include personnel costs and benefits, office supplies, travel and training, had to be
moved to Investigations to cover the increase in expected expenditures.
