APPROVE Appropriations and Revenue Adjustment No. 5014 authorizing new revenue in the amount of $46,500
from the Sheriff Narcotic Forfeiture Fund (0253) and appropriating it for the purchase of Dell Equalogic hardware
for the Sheriff's Technical Services Unit (2512).
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases revenue and appropriations by $46,500, with no change in net county cost. The new revenue is
from the Sheriff Narcotic Forfeiture Fund (0253).
BACKGROUND:
Asset Forfeiture Funds are equitably shared funds which can be used by law enforcement agencies for law
enforcement purposes. This includes the costs associated with the purchase, lease, maintenance or operation of law
enforcement equipment for use by law enforcement personnel that supports law enforcement activities.
The Sheriff's Technical Unit purchase of the Dell Equalogic hardware is necessary to support the Automatic License
Plate Readers (ALPR). The hardware will be used to hold the image license
